MTI Fasilkom UI will be holding an online guest lecture by Prof. Shanton Chang from the School of Computing and Information Systems, University of Melbourne. Prof. Shanton Chang is a research and teaching academic at The School of Computing and Information Systems, University of Melbourne. MTI Fasilkom UI has a double degree program with University of Melbourne.

The lecture topic is Strategic Thinking: Factors that Impact Business-IT Alignment. In a pandemic economy where companies are seeking to leverage their IT infrastructure and investments more effectively, business-IT alignment has become even more crucial. Yet, many organisations (including companies) continue to question the efficacy of new IT projects for their business needs. This Masterclass provides an overview from the Chief Information Officer (CIO) perspective about how business-IT alignment could be improved and how IT functions can position itself as an important business partner.
